Photos - Shanghai, China

 

The USS Enright visited Shanghai in November 1945, two months after the Japanese surrender.  The Whangpoo River contained many floating anti-ship mines.   The USS Enright searched for the mines and exploded them using rounds from their ship-mounted guns.
